Generous budget to purchase quality bike

Johan Verbaeten was among the first to participate in the bike lease plan. He happened to be in the market for a new bike and purchased one from Cannondale through Gosselin. He cycles from Schilde to Deurne twice a week, depending on the weather.

"The cold doesn't bother me, but if it's raining, I do take the car," Johan begins his story. "Still, I try to take the bike regularly. I'm from Schilde and I've already bumped into Elena, who works at the reception." Apart from saving on gasoline, there are other financial benefits associated with the lease plan.

Johan agrees. "The budget provided by Gosselin is generous, allowing you to buy a higher quality bike than you might purchase on your own. And I definitely notice that while cycling." The bike payments are deducted from the paycheck each month, but the lease plan is hardly noticeable in the wallet.

Bike facilities

"Now there are three large bike shelters," lists Director of Facilities Johan, who helped realize them. "And we have lockers and showers available. Soon, the new Milcobel site will also be equipped with parking for thirty bikes, and additional bike parking will be built at Stork in the future." So, there could definitely be more cycling colleagues joining in!

Conditions

At Gosselin, you must be employed for at least six months before you qualify for the lease plan, and you must use the purchased bike for 20% of your commuting. Wearing a helmet and fluorescent vest is mandatory, and you also receive a maintenance budget and insurance coverage.
